Pendleton County Zoning
The Pendleton County Planning Commission spent over a year in the creation and development of the attached Pendleton County Zoning Ordinance[ PDF - 364kB]. Public hearings along with public input assisted in the development of this ordinance. After the Planning Commission created and approved the draft ordinance, the Pendleton County Fiscal Court spent more than six months in reviewing and studying the zoning ordinance. The fiscal court made some minor changes which were approve by the Planning Commission on May 19, 2008.
The Pendleton County Fiscal Court unanimously passed the ordinance on June 24, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the courthouse community room. The zoning ordinance became effective July 1, 2008 upon final publication. Zoning permits may be acquired at the "Planning Office" at 233 Main St, Falmouth, Kentucky. The zoning ordinance is administered by Brian Thompson (local Pendleton County native) along with assistance, when needed, from the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission.
Over the next several months, the Pendleton County Fiscal Court and the Pendleton County Zoning Administrator will be as understanding as possible in their administration of the ordinance.
