Emergency Services Committee Progress Report
The Pendleton County Fiscal Court held two community meeting late in 2008 so as to explain the problems that have evolved with funding ambulance service in Pendleton County. Ambulance funding revenues have dwindled by almost 75% over the past 10 plus years and service demand has risen by nearly 50%.
During the two public meetings, approximatly 40 local citizens volunteered to form a committee to research Pendleton County's emergency services problems. The committee started meeting on March 16 and the following are minutes and handouts from their meetings:
