Pendleton County is located midway between Cincinnati, OH and Lexington, KY. A convenient day trip away, the County’s beautiful landscape of woods, rolling hills and river valleys offer spectacular views. With Kincaid Lake State Park, the Ohio River on its northeast border, and the Licking River running northward through its entire length, Pendleton County has an abundance of hunting, fishing and boating opportunities.   
 
A county steeped in history, was formed in 1798, not long after our nation’s independence by the great statesman and surveyor Edmund Pendleton of Virginia. Historic towns, buildings and churches abound.
