"911. Where is your emergency?” That question comes from a person who is a lifeline to someone in need; a person in Pendleton County’s Dispatch Center; a center that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer this call.
The Center has seven full-time and nine part-time dispatchers who handle 911 calls ranging from life-threatening medical emergencies, reports of crime, fires, fallen trees on the roadway, to minor accidents and everything in between.
