Pendleton County’s Economic Development effort is a collaborative partnership among the Pendleton County Fiscal Court, the cities of Butler and Falmouth, the East Pendleton Water District, the Pendleton County Water District and the Northern Kentucky Area Development District. The purpose of this planning partnership is to provide the Pendleton County community with fulltime certified professional economic development planning staff to assist leadership in creating jobs and enhancing the overall quality of life for all Pendleton County residents.

To build a strong foundation for our future, Pendleton County has adopted a strategic vision of concentrating efforts in the areas of overall economic development, infrastructure development, urban renewal and strategic planning. Project activities range from small business development, industrial recruitment, workforce development, industrial and commercial site marketing, emergency services infrastructure redevelopment and water and sewer line construction to urban renewal planning, civic engagement and leadership development.

Pendleton County is also serious about promoting workforce development as a means of supporting our current industrial and commercial partners while promoting our community to new investment.  Pendleton County was recently designated by the Commonwealth and is a Work Ready in Progress Community.

Pendleton County has two Class A industrial parks consisting of approximately 269 total acres of developable property.

AA Industrial Sites
The AA Industrial Park consists of two sites located close to the AA highway at Ivor Road and Kentucky Route 8. Site #1 consists of 27 acres of level and cleared land.  Site #2 consists of 186 acres of mostly wooded land located on the Ohio River.  The topography is rolling to level featuring two distinct developable tracts.

A four (4) inch waterline bisects the two tracts with planning in place to install a (6) inch waterline to the park. Electrical service is available from both Owen Electric and Kentucky Utilities. Both sites have undergone a full phase I and limited Phase II environmental assessment. The accompanying development video graphically details both sites and their development potential.
